Abstract In this study, pure Pb 2 WO 5 with its two dimorphs, high temperature (HT) and low (LT) forms, were successfully crystallized via melt-quenching technique in the system PbO. 3 . Al O The influence of adding definite amounts different transition metal oxides (TMO) such as ZnO, TiO , CuO, MnO 2, V on crystalline structure, optical, photocatalytic activity investigated. X-ray diffraction revealed a degree crystallization undoped -doped samples. Only sample PbWO 4 beside LT- (WO ) is preferred isomorph samples, while HT- sample. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) depicted an undeveloped rectangular pillar crystal size 400–900 nm. Energy-Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDX) analysis certifies existence crystals at expanse ions. Photoluminescence measurements under ultraviolet (UV) excitation emission band 470 nm for exhibited series peaks spanning from 400 to 620 doped International Commission Illumination (CIE) chromaticity coordinates all samples are situated within blue color region diagram. displays CIE (0.117, 0.091), corresponding deep hue; shifted towards light area Utilizing ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) diffused reflectance, optical bandgap energy (E opt glass-ceramic was estimated, revealing values semiconductor range (2.52–3.01 eV). Photocatalytic activity, evaluated through methyl orange (MO) degradation UV light. higher efficiency (33.7% after h). This study thus considered significant step toward facile synthesis moderately efficient novel photocatalysts, semiconducting materials, photoluminescent glass-ceramics.
