Due to the lack of effective utilization, fly ash and red mud accumulate in large quantities cause serious harm environment. In this experiment, a low-cost preparation foamed ceramics was realized by applying foaming agent addition method using mud. The results indicated that temperature content significantly affected macrostructure, microstructure, crystalline phases, properties ceramics. Specifically, formulation comprising 45 wt.% ash, mud, 10 clay, 1 SiC (addition), sintered at 1210 °C, yielded compressive strength 8.2 MPa, bulk density 1.17 g/cm3, water absorption rate 32.05%, an apparent porosity 37.59%. as-prepared materials demonstrate potential as cost-effective building materials, putting forward approach for high-value utilization
