We study a way to set the natural frequency of newly added oscillator in growing network enhance synchronization. Population growth is one typical features many systems for which synchronization required perform their functions properly. Despite this significance, little has been known about systems. suggest effective schemes as grows under predetermined rule. Specifically, we find that method based on link-wise order parameter outperforms conventional global parameter. With simple solvable examples, verify results coincide with intuitive expectations. The numerical demonstrate approximate optimal values from suggested show larger enhancement comparison other naïve strategies. also our proposed approach others over wide range coupling strengths.

Chimera states in spatiotemporal dynamical systems have been investigated physical, chemical, and biological systems, while how the system is steering toward different final destinies upon spatially localized perturbation still unknown. Through a systematic numerical analysis of evolution patterns multi-chimera states, we uncover critical behavior transient time either chimera or synchronization as stable state. We measure values chimeras with numbers clusters. Then, based on an adequate verification, fit analyze distribution time, which obeys power-law variation process increase strengths. Moreover, comparison between clusters exhibits interesting phenomenon, thus find that value odd even will alternatively converge into certain from two sides, respectively, implying this can be modeled enabling articulation phenomenological model.

We study directionally coupled phase-coherent chaotic oscillators in complex networks. introduce an adjusted Lyapunov function that incorporates the frequencies of and interaction structure. Using well-known Rössler system as example, we address two optimization problems: frequency allocation network design. Through numerical experiments, demonstrate systematic synchrony can be effectively enhanced or inhibited by minimizing maximizing objective function, respectively. then delve into relationship between structural dynamical properties lead to optimal synchronization. Interestingly, observe a positive correlation nodal in-degrees magnitudes, indicating nodes with higher tend exhibit larger magnitudes. On other hand, also find negative adjacent in-frequencies, suggesting surrounded lower values. Finally, explore connections degree correlations when presence always inhibits for allocation, while act design causes become negative.
