Abstract According to the constraints of frequency safety indices, evaluating inertia and primary regulation demand, rationally utilizing energy reserve provided by wind turbines storage devices ensure system response, is key improve stability large‐scale new power systems. First, response characteristics indicators required generation systems were analyzed. Second, dynamic model with was established, extreme value time for virtual calculated. Using at which drop maximum, constant wind‐storage evaluated. Additionally, demand obtained considering a novel coordinated control strategy provide support proposed. Finally, grid‐connected simulation built verify superiority proposed strategy. The results indicate that scheme flexibly meets requirements.
