How parental phubbing decreases adolescent core self-evaluation through basic psychological need satisfaction: Evidence from longitudinal mediation analysis and longitudinal network analysis

Parental

parent-child

study
examined
longitudinal
mediating
role
of
basic
psychological
need
satisfaction
in
relations
between
parental
and
adolescents’
core
self-evaluation.
We
recruited
629
adolescents
(
M
age
=
15.20
years,
SD
1.62
years)
participate

survey.
Longitudinal
mediation
analyses
revealed
that
negatively
predicted
adolescents'
self-evaluation
by
diminishing
satisfaction.
Additionally,

identified
two
significant
behaviors

parenting
(HP)
