Core capabilities of Chinese centers for disease control and prevention public health personnel: a network analysis from Northeast China

The
COVID-19
pandemic
has
highlighted
the
continued
inadequacy
of
capability
Center
for
Disease
Control
and
Prevention
(CDC)
public
health
personnel
to
respond
effectively
emerging
infectious
disease
outbreaks,
as
well
urgent
need
specific
tools
assess
needed
by
CDC
in
post-pandemic
era.
Using
network
analysis,
we
aimed
analyze
comprehensive
capacities
staff
relationships
between
these
capacities.
We
also
examined
impact
standardized
training
on
their
provided
actionable
recommendations
improving
overall
capability.
This
study
employs
a
cross-sectional
design.
A
self-developed
questionnaire
was
used
evaluate
capabilities
CDC.
Network
analysis
conducted
using
qgraph
package
R
(version
4.3.1)
construct
model,
while
bootnet
ensured
stability
reliability
through
bootstrapping.
NetworkComparisonTest
applied
compare
structures
identify
differences
groups.
Over
half
(51.80%,
N
=
11,912)
rated
poor.
Core
capabilities,
including
research,
motivation,
emergency
response,
were
identified
pivotal
within
network.

Smartphone
addiction
has
emerged
as
a
pressing
public
health
issue
in
recent
years,
which
negatively
impacts
university
students’
academic
performance,
physical
and
mental
health,
social
functioning.
Therefore,
it
is
crucial
to
explore
the
significant
factors
related
smartphone
addiction.
While
previous
research
suggested
potential
link
between
self-compassion
problematic
internet
or
use,
studies
specifically
examining
relationship
tendency
remain
limited.
From
positive
psychology
perspective,
this
study
aims
tendency,
well
its
internal
mechanism.
A
total
of
641
Chinese
college
students
were
recruited
complete
online
questionnaires
assessing
their
self-compassion,
self-concept
clarity,
experiential
avoidance,
tendency.
The
results
show
that
not
only
directly
predicts
but
also
indirectly
through
independent
mediating
effects
