The metaverse, an immersive virtual environment enabling users to engage with digital experiences, has the potential revolutionize education. However, research pertaining this area is still in its early stages. This study investigates variables that influence acceptance of educational metaverses and intention use them. It also presents expanded model called Unified Theory Acceptance Use Metaverse Technology (UTAUMT) provide guidance educators decision-makers. involved 253 Vietnamese teachers students who had experience selected through purposive sampling. UTAUMT provides a comprehensive framework encompasses various factors, including metaverse performance expectancy (MPE), effort (MEE), social (MSI), hedonic motivation (MHM), price value (MPC), self-efficacy (MSE), facilitating conditions (MFC). These factors were assessed using self-administered questionnaire. findings indicate MEE, MSI, MFC, MSE, MBI have considerable impact on MUB. extended makes theoretical contribution by metaverse-specific elements into technology framework. managerial implications focus integration training users, providing support enhance adoption rate. explores contribute education contributes existing literature technology.

This study explores the process of creating avatars for Virtual Reality and metaverse environments using a variety specialized applications, including VRChat, Ready Player Me, VRoidStudio, Mixamo, Convai, MetaHuman. By evaluating these platforms, research identifies strengths limitations each tool in terms customization, integration, overall user experience. The practical implementation focuses on avatar creation within Unity Unreal Engine, highlighting technical aspects rigging, animation, real-time rendering. also delves into broader implications use, particularly concerning privacy security. Our findings reveal that while platform offers unique advantages, choice significantly impacts visual fidelity performance virtual environments. For ease Me stands out with its intuitive interface. VRoidStudio is notable high degree customizability, allowing detailed personalization. In high-quality graphics, MetaHuman leads way advanced graphical fidelity. At same time, some platforms excel personalizing or integrating development (VRoidStudio, Me), others are constrained by their limited flexibility platform-specific availability (MetaHuman, Mixamo). Given the advancements in artificial intelligence and extended reality technologies, this study aims to examine integration of intelligent tutoring systems into augmented virtual environments through a systematic literature review. Following PRISMA framework, 32 related theoretical, showcase, case studies published during period 2015–2024 are examined. Based on results, combination technologies emerged as an effective educational means that can support both students teachers, promote lifelong learning, face-to-face, blended, online learning across levels workplace. These offered immersive, realistic, interactive personalized experiences. Additionally, they could identify, monitor, analyze students’ characteristics, performance, preferences, motivational, cognitive, psychological states. also adapt content, resources, activities, assessment according needs make suitable recommendations. Their ability offer tailored real-time feedback, guidance, analytics, evaluation was highlighted. it revealed these meaningful experiences enhance affective, psychomotor, embodied self-directed collaborative experiential approaches. Regarding benefits, who learnt using demonstrated increased engagement, motivation, confidence, immersion, enjoyment. The reported better outcomes academic enhanced knowledge skills, improved information understanding recall. This presents main topics areas examined, goes over existing challenges, suggests future research directions. Finally, emphasizes importance capitalizing human machine students, meet their needs, provide them with quality education opportunities.

This narrative review synthesizes and analyzes empirical studies on the adoption acceptance of ChatGPT in higher education, addressing need to understand key factors influencing its use by students educators. Anchored theoretical frameworks such as Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Unified Theory Use (UTAUT), Diffusion Innovation (DoI) Theory, Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) model, Planned Behavior, this highlights central constructs shaping behavior. The confirmed include hedonic motivation, usability, perceived benefits, system responsiveness, relative advantage, whereas effects social influence, facilitating conditions, privacy, security vary. Purpose This study investigates the impact of social cognitive theory (SCT) constructs and perceived risks on university students’ trusting intentions towards Metaverse-based educational platforms in UAE. By examining factors such as self-efficacy, outcome expectations vicarious learning (from SCT), alongside like performance, time, security concerns, this research addresses critical gaps understanding trust dynamics technology. Design/methodology/approach A quantitative survey was conducted with 176 students who experienced a classroom prototype. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) to evaluate relationships between SCT constructs, intentions. Findings The results demonstrate that significantly enhance by fostering self-efficacy providing positive experiences. Conversely, reduce trust, emphasizing need mitigate concerns usability barriers improve adoption. These insights underline dual importance managing promoting psychological readiness among students.
