Traditional disposal methods of biomass and plastic waste, such as landfill, combustion, compost, no longer meet the requirements carbon reduction, neutrality, sustainable society due to low utilization efficiency severe pollution. As a green, efficient environmentally-friendly method, hydrothermal technology has been paid much attention already applied recycle or reuse various wastes. No matter for single mixed type it is expected achieve recycling obtain value-added products through process. This review summarized basic knowledge possible reaction mechanism plastics under conditions listed previous reports on application converting wastes biomass, plastic, biomass/plastic mixtures solid fuels. Moreover, regarding future technology, four points related mechanism, synergistic effect, catalysis, scaled-up application, were provided consideration.
