Environmental nanotechnology has developed rapidly over the past few decades due to fast advancement of and nanomaterials (NMs). Due their nanoscale size, NMs are receiving immense attention in research development worldwide. Their nano size led better catalysis, high reactivity, adsorption capacity. In wastewater treatment, significant potential improve performance efficiency water decontamination; more effectively, it provides a sustainable way keep supplies safe. Numerous studies have found that removing harmful components from by employing nanoparticles conjunction with various treatment methods is effective. The purpose current investigation conduct review envisioned applications wastewater. These include carbonaceous NMs, metal-containing nanoparticles, nanocomposites, all which will be reviewed highlighted depth.
