In the sub-Saharan region of Africa, access to safe drinking water remains limited in many countries. This study provides an overview quality surface and groundwater rural peri-urban areas Madagascar, Uganda, Rwanda. Abstract Surfactant‐like contaminants (SLCs) with distinctive amphiphilic structures have become a global concern in wastewater due to their toxicity and persistency. Despite extensive efforts, achieving efficient selective SLCs removal remains challenging because of wide range molecular weights complex functional group compositions.
