Summary Genotype restriction poses a significant bottleneck to stable transformation in the vast majority of plant species, thereby severely impeding advancement bioengineering, particularly for crops. Nanoparticles (NPs) can serve as effective carriers transient delivery nucleic acids, facilitating gene overexpression or silencing plants genotype‐independent manner. However, applications NP‐mediated systems comprehensive genomic studies remained underexplored plants, especially crops that face challenges genetic transformation. Consequently, there is an urgent need efficient capable generating whole seedlings with uniformly transformed acids. We have developed straightforward and modified carbon dot (MCD)‐mediated system delivering DNA plasmids into seeds wheat, which also applicable other species. This facilitates generation contain transferred plasmids. Furthermore, our study demonstrates this serves excellent platform conducting functional including validation functions, protein interactions regulation, omics studies, genome editing. significantly enhances research any Thus, provides first time evidence new MCDs genomics epigenomic bioengineering potentially leading improvement desirable agronomic traits

Micro(nano)plastics (MNP) are pervasive in various environmental media and pose a global pollution issue, particularly terrestrial ecosystems, where they exert significant impact on plant growth development. This paper builds upon prior research to analyze consolidate the effects of MNP soil properties, seed germination, growth, litter decomposition. The objective is elucidate behavior their mechanisms influence life cycle. unique physicochemical electrical properties enable them modify structure, water retention capacity, pH. They can potentially act as “electron shuttles” or disrupt natural decomposition, thereby interfering with nutrient transport availability soil. Furthermore, physically obstruct channels within plants, impacting absorption. Once infiltrating tissues, form eco-coronas proteins. Together adsorbed plant’s surface its normal physiological processes, leading changes photosynthesis, biomass, cellular toxicity, genetics, uptake, gene expression. These changes, turn, germination As burgeoning field, future studies should delve deeper into aspects these such elucidating pathways through which enter assessing intensity toxicity different species, exploring relationship between micro(nano)plastics shuttles”. endeavors will contribute establishing more comprehensive theoretical framework for understanding plants.

Prolonged drought conditions are a critical challenge for agricultural advancement, threatening food security and environmental equilibrium. To overcome these issues, enhancing plant resilience to is essential growth sustainable agriculture. In this study, blue-emitting antioxidant carbon dots (B-CDs), synthesized from citric acid ascorbic acid, emerged as promising solution enhance the resistance of peas (Pisum sativum L.). B-CDs can efficiently scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS), which harmful in excess plants under stress conditions. Through detailed experimental analyses density functional theory (DFT) studies, it found that possess structures featuring eight-membered aromatic rings with abundant oxygen-containing groups, providing active sites reactions ROS. The practical benefits evident tests pea exposed These show remarkable reduction ROS accumulation, an increase photosynthetic efficiency due improved electron transfer rates, significant enhancement. Compared untreated controls stress, application results impressive fresh dry weights both shoots roots seedlings by 39.5 43.2% 121.0 73.7% weights, respectively. This suggests significantly mitigate negative effects on plants. Thus, leveraging opens novel avenue abiotic stressors through nanotechnology, thereby offering pathway counter challenges
