Abstract Research was carried out on the removal of a group six contaminants emerging concern: bisphenol A, N , -diethyl- m -toluamide, diethylstilbestrol, triclosan, estrone and estradiol from water matrix during contact with small floating macrophytes Wolffia arrhiza Lemna minor . The optimal conditions for process, such as pH, light exposure per day, plant mass, were determined using design experiments chemometric approach based central composite design. Paddy field ecosystems are crucial for crop production, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem services. Although previous studies have examined paddy biodiversity, few addressed how the distribution species richness of vegetation soil seed banks regulated. This study investigated wetland plants in fields across diverse habitat types identified factors influencing their patterns. Surveys revealed that conventional habitats contained only a herbicide-tolerant (e.g., Portulaca oleracea L., Cardamine flexuosa With., Rorippa palustris (L.) Besser). In contrast, organic exhibited higher abundance. Cluster analysis nonmetric multidimensional scaling demonstrated bank differed markedly with different farming practices was influenced by distinct factors. These findings highlight importance understanding dynamics to support conservation sustainable agriculture.

In the last decade, water contamination by pesticides has become a global concern, and phytoremediation gained increasing attention. This approach is cost-effective ecologically beneficial, revealing abilities of plants to remove, detoxify, or immobilize environmental contaminants. Despite growing number publications, some questions remain: (i) How effectively do aquatic reduce in water? (ii) effectiveness influenced plant characteristics, pesticide properties, environmental/experimental conditions? To answer those questions, we conducted meta-analysis with 405 extracted pairs data points from 56 studies systematically analyze explore efficiency removal plants. We found that, compared control without plants, vegetation increases 38.86 % (95 CI = 31.50-46.21 %). subgroup meta-regression analyses identify factors influencing effect size. The taxonomy (order) life form did not significantly influence degree removal. was pesticides' type/mode action, insecticides being less efficiently removed than other pesticides. Additionally, observed higher log KOW (lipophilicity), molecular mass, experiments contaminant mixtures. Environmental conditions also efficiency, temperatures light intensity enhancing phytoremediation. Our results provide insights into key determining success environments contaminated pesticides, thereby guiding decision-making on using this technology directing new research toward developing strategies enhance its effectiveness.
