When designing new conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs), major efforts are typically focused on selecting specific linkages and variations of building blocks to control their terminal structure function. However, the constitutional isomerism CMPs has seldom been considered so far as a crucial aspect. Herein, we successfully synthesize pair isomeric CMPs, named DBP-TEP (with phenanthrenequinone units) DBQ-TEP anthraquinone units). Benefiting from construction extended D-π-A skeleton, our characterized by low band gaps high charge transport efficiency, thus remarkably enhancing uranium photoreduction performance. Interestingly, experiment results show that adsorption capacity is 1.5 times under light irradiation. Additionally, both experiments in real-life theoretical calculations prove phenanthrenonequinone unit does have profound effect photocatalytic activity, which predominantly attributed stronger electronic push-pull system higher π-conjugated DBP-TEP.

Abstract As a new type of composite two-dimensional material formed by the combination Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) and two- dimensional (2D) MXenes, COF/MXene heterostructures (COF@MXene) inherit stable porous structure COFs excellent electrochemical performance catalytic activity thus attracting widespread attention. Additionally, COF@MXene possesses various elemental affinity sites, efficient ion channels, ability to append functional groups, which endow them with tremendous potential in energy storage, conversion, catalysis. Currently, there is lack extensive literature discussing utilization COF@MXene. The quest for enhanced physicochemical attributes through tailored modifications strategies still noteworthy hurdle. Furthermore, discovering novel application contexts that can harness exceptional capabilities these materials presents formidable task. This review initiates an exploration primary methodologies synthesizing COF MXene composites. Subsequently, it outlines diverse applications environmental conservation. Lastly, discusses obstacles future trajectories within domains.
