Abstract This research investigates the adsorption efficiency of a chitosan-bentonite (Ch–B) composite in removing methyl orange (MO), common textile dye, from aqueous solutions. The study integrates experimental and theoretical analyses, employing density functional theory (DFT) to gain insights into molecular interactions between material MO molecules. Ch–B was characterized using various techniques, including FT-IR spectroscopy, XRD, SEM–EDX. results indicate that exhibits high capacity for MO, with optimal conditions identified efficient removal. Langmuir model found best fit data 117 mg g −1 . Adsorption thermodynamics showed process spontaneous, feasible, exothermic. DFT calculation are correlated findings confirm predictions improve overall understanding process. Electronic structure calculations reveal nature molecules, hydrogen bonds electrostatic forces.

Abstract This study marks a pioneering effort in utilizing Vachellia tortilis subsp. raddiana (Savi) Kyal. & Boatwr., (commonly known as acacia ) leaves both reducing and stabilizing agent the green “eco-friendly” synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The research aimed to optimize AgNPs process by investigating influence pH, temperature, extract volume, contact time on reaction rate resulting AgNPs' morphology well discuss potential detecting some heavy metals. Various characterization methods, such UV–vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), infrared spectroscopy (IR), Zeta sizer, EDAX, transmitting (TEM), were used thoroughly analyze properties synthesized AgNPs. XRD results verified successful production with crystallite size between 20 30 nm.
