Abstract Ga and Al doped ZnO thin film electrodes are spray deposited explored for photocatalytic deterioration of methylene blue dye. X‐ray diffraction unveils both films to have highly textured growth along the (002) plane. The surface morphology is found near spherical distorted rectangular particles dopants, respectively. Photoluminescence emission study reveals that visible light emissions in violet, blue, green regions due oxygen vacancy defects. exhibit a reasonably higher transmittance 89 77 % with mobility 30.5 29.6 cm 2 /Vs ZnO, Cyclic test photo‐corrosion studies performed selected samples were indicating significant stability. Based on these findings degradation dye efficiency upon LED sunlight irradiation.
