Abstract This study investigates the presence of arsenic and other heavy metals in polished rice from regions West Bengal, India, traditionally not known for contamination. Given significant health risks posed by metal contamination, this research provides critical insights into quality available Kolkata, Purulia, Birbhum districts. Polished samples were collected districts to evaluate examining contamination within food chain. Using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES), it was found that 98% contaminated with arsenic, concentrations ranging 0.163 0.986 mg/kg. Additionally, chromium, lead, cadmium exceeded maximum permissible limits. High fluoride groundwater is a global environmental and public health issue. To explore the effects of in oasis Hotan River Basin Xinjiang on human health, this study analyzed content spatial distribution groundwater. Moreover, risk assessment was performed using Monte Carlo method based Unite States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) model. The results revealed that has an average F- 1.04 mg·L-1, with exceedance rate 35.2%. High-fluoride typically characterized by high HCO3- content, low Ca2+ relative to Mg2+ presence hydrochemical types Cl·HCO3-Na HCO3-Na. hazard quotient (HQ) > 1 for children adults Lop County, Karakax city County. In area, 1-95% quantile certainty HQ greater (58.30-38.74%) than (52.65-28.26%). Therefore, most residents are exposed nononcogenic risks via water drinking pathway, being highly sensitive. area significantly influences residents, variance contribution 87.8-94.3%. reducing should be prioritized decision-making regarding safety oasis.

This study aimed to determine the amount of As and Pb in water Meoqui-Delicias’ aquifer their spatiotemporal dynamics. Twenty-one sampling points were selected. Seventeen samples from wells four surface water; two used for human consumption rest agricultural use. The taken May 2019 January 2020 events, one each climatological season year. studied geochemical anomalies seem be linked nature mechanism volcanic emplacement. Several exhibited high concentrations arsenic ranging 1.20 156.54 ppb, unlike lead, with low values being maximum value 26.32 ppb. These elements (As Pb) are Naica, part mining district where tons Au, Ag, Pb, Cu, Zn obtained. From a geographical standpoint, it is impossible establish that these related, even though present zone Au Ag historically mined.
