polyfluoroalkyl
substances
(PFAS)
are
emerging
water
contaminants
with
significant
environmental
health
impacts,
posing
challenges
in
treatment
due
to
their
high
stability
persistence.
With
increasing
regulations,
a
critical
need
remains
understanding
the
sustainability
of
PFAS
technologies.
Our
review
examines
environmental,
economic,
social
impacts
current
technologies
across
different
types
contexts.
Additionally,
we
propose
framework
for
future
studies
enable
more
holistic
technology
evaluations
under
specific
conditions.
