The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect a solid slow-release carbon source (3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate, PHBV) on heterotrophic and sulfur autotrophic cooperative denitrification (HAD) aquaculture wastewater. Batch tests were carried out analyze different PHBV/S volume ratios in range 30–70% synthetic wastewater under short hydraulic retention time (HRT). performance HAD process showed that NO3−-N removal increased with an increase ratio. When ratio reached 70%, average concentration effluent 0.38 mg/L stable phase. variation pH alkalinity value residual above 7.03 57.63 at 50%. Based relationship between sulfate generation nitrate PHBV/S, analysis proportion (HD) autotraophic (SAD) enhanced 50%, competition for substrates occurred 70%.
