No validated measure is available to assess or quantify NVC-specific characteristics behaviors. This paper describes the development pilot psychometric evaluation of self-report for assessing behaviors characteristic NVC (e.g., awareness feelings, honest self-expression). Method: We analyzed data in an online convenience sample young adults (N = 205). Results: The 7-item Communication Behaviors Scale (NVCBS) was found have satisfactory internal consistency (α 0.789 0.810), good test-retest reliability (ICC 0.781) single-factor structure. NVCBS also positively correlated with empathy while negatively negative beliefs about emotions, demonstrating its construct validity. Discussion: study provides reliable valid which can facilitate future studies on NVC. Directions research are discussed.

More efforts needed prevent address community. also offer insights into management trauma-related disorders.

Previous studies showed that dissociation and dissociative disorders (DDs) are prevalent associated with considerable individual social consequences. There ongoing debates regarding whether is a response to betrayal trauma across cultures can be explained by maladaptive coping. Additionally, little known about the clinical features of individuals DDs in Chinese context. This study aimed investigate relationship between trauma, emotional regulation, coping, dissociation. We analyzed baseline data from randomized controlled trial (N = 101). Participants symptoms Hong Kong completed self-report assessments. Structured interviews were also conducted subsequently. probable reported more traumatic events (p .009 .017) exhibited significantly higher levels dysfunctional coping < .001) compared those who but did not have DD. Dissociative strongly than non-betrayal trauma. Among different emotion regulation strategies, was only significant factor (β .309, p .003). Dysfunctional statistically mediator may explain symptoms. Although other mediation paths possible further longitudinal required, our findings highlight strong link suggest skills training should incorporated into interventions for survivors this provides evidence cross-cultural validity theory. Further studies, however, required.
