Experience of child psychological abuse in college students is likely to increase their risk depression, but the potential mechanisms between two require further exploration. This study supplemented and protective factors depression by introducing social network sites addiction (SNSA) as a mediating factor flexibility moderating factor. A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 655 from universities Hunan Province, China. Self-reported measures included childhood abuse, SNSA, flexibility. Abstract Childhood maltreatment, a significant distal risk factor for individual development, is potentially linked to maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies (MCERS) and increased internalizing problems (i.e., depression anxiety). Prior research has widely identified that MCERS mediate the link between childhood maltreatment problems.
