ABSTRACT
Family
Group
Conferences
(FGCs)
is
a
model
for
promoting
child
welfare
created
to
help
families
in
managing
concerns
related
at‐risk
children,
while
respecting
cultural
contexts,
and
does
so
by
integrally
involving
them
their
solution
creation
implementation.
This
study
examines
the
experiences
of
18
youths
Israel's
FGC
pilot
programme
part
larger
scale
Israeli
programme.
Thematic
analysis
identified
six
key
themes
perceived
success
conference.
The
first
three—receiving
pre‐conference
information,
structure
setting,
support,
underscore
importance
implementing
effectively.
remaining
three
themes—participants'
families'
characteristics,
consequences
participation,
family
dynamics,
focus
on
young
people
involved.

Identifying the essential competencies for court professionals to promote youth engagement in permanency planning in court hearings

process
undertaken
to
determine
priorities
for
creating
curricular
content

court
personnel
on
how
authentically
engage
in
permanency
planning.
Utilizing
the
Delphi
method
with
adults
lived
expertise,
list
competencies
was
prioritized
inclusion
through
comprehensive
literature
review
and
series
individual
interviews
conducted
broad
range
stakeholders
(youth
experience,
state
tribal
direct
service
workers,
supervisors,
administrators,
judges,
child
attorneys).
Highly
rated
were
included
subsequent
training
developed
after
completion
process.

qualitative
