The study examined the distribution of physicochemical parameters and toxic metals in Niger Delta Coast, Nigeria. shellfish (T. fuscatus), water, sediments, data were collected from three sampling stations over a six-month period. findings revealed considerable variability levels heavy features between stations. Station 2 had higher temperature salinity but lower total dissolved solids, pH, biological oxygen demand, oxygen. 1 highest concentrations Fe, Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu, As water sediment samples, while consistently lowest concentrations. 3 Fe Zn values terms bioaccumulation. found no significant differences (p > 0.05) all T. fuscatus 2, except for which showed slight variation < 0.05). In fish, Cu sediment, 1. For bioaccumulation, greatest concentration, measuring 0.00000123 mg/kg, both Stations shared bioaccumulation at 0.00000058 mg/Kg. possibly due to local conditions or iron sources. Higher metal these areas may lead potential environmental health implications their susceptibility pollution. suggests that constant assessment remedial measures are needed safeguard aquatic ecosystem area.

Water pollution is a pressing concern in China as well other countries around the world. Despite escalating water quality issues associated with sources of Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China—namely Weishan and Luoma Lakes—a dearth scientific systematic guidance regarding environmental management remains. This study investigated potential Lakes through hydrochemical analysis, correlation analysis (CA), principal component (PCA), analyses Quality Index (WQI) evaluation index (PEI). Results showed that average values some components, such turbidity, total dissolved solids (TDS), nitrogen (TN), hardness (TH), alkalinity (ALK), were higher than standard limits. The CA results revealed heterogeneity pathways pollutants ions. PCA was used to identify five key indicators for Lakes, explaining cumulative variance 85.26–86.64% 83.56–85.64%, respectively. In Lake, anthropogenic industrial primary contributors pollution, whereas natural source, followed by agricultural sources. general, WQI PEI indicated Lake classified "good" during period, despite deterioration both lakes. Overall, implementing robust plan maintaining aquatic environment these two lake areas necessary.

The Nile River is the primary source of freshwater in Egypt. water quality seven permanent Islands (three upstream Aswan and four downstream Cairo) was assessed using a variety chemical, physical, bacteriological variables indices. A total 84 samples were collected from shores during winter summer seasons. Standard methods used to analyze for various variables, including nutrients, bacteria, heavy metals. significant difference found most especially metals, between Cairo Islands. On all shores, Cu, Zn, Co, Cr, Pb, Cd levels exceeded acceptable limits set by international standards aquatic life protection. distribution patterns these are strongly influenced island activities. average index at islands ranged 79 90, indicating suitable organisms. chemical pollution classified as slightly polluted throughout dry season. However, metal indices consistently showed some degree contamination on Although not severely polluted, continuous monitoring important, given potential decrease Egypt's share water, increase contaminants, changes land use following completion Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
