Sensitivity analysis of selected parameters in simulation models logistics facilities is one the key aspects functioning self-conscious and efficient management. In order to develop adequate real facilities' processes, it important input actual data connected material flows on entry models, whereas most assume unified load units as default. To provide such data, pseudorandom number generators (PRNGs) are used. The original generator described paper was employed generate picking lists for process (OPP). This ensures building a hypothetical, yet close reality terms unpredictable customers' orders. Models with applied PRNGs ensure more detailed understandable representation OPPs comparison analytical models. Therefore, author's motivation present model tool enterprises' managers who might control OPP, devices means transport therein. outcomes implications contribution presentation possibilities OPP analyses, which be developed solved within model. presented has some limitations. One them assumption that mean per aisle taken into consideration. Another limitation indirectly randomization certain model's parameters.

Order Batching is a family of optimization problems related to the process picking items in warehouse as part supply chain management. Problems classified into this category are those whose policy consists grouping orders received batches, prior starting process. Once batches have been formed, all within same batch picked together on single route. In survey we review known family, focusing manual systems and rectangular-shaped warehouses with only parallel cross aisles, which most common configuration literature. First, identify decisions strategic, tactical, operational levels that influence task. Then, characterize belonging objective function might differ. The identified taxonomy proposed paper, designed host future family. We also outstanding papers by strategies algorithms for relevant activities: batching, routing, sequencing, waiting, assigning. To conclude, outline open issues paths topic under study.
