Abstract Attaining optimal milling conditions in industrial applications presents a significant challenge. This paper investigates the influence of feed speed and rotational CNC on plywood surface quality. Furthermore, it aims to optimize these parameters minimize roughness associated defects. The ( R a, z, p v) were quantified using Keyence VHX-7000 digital microscope. In addition analysis, delamination veneers origins irregularities microscopically analysed. polynomial regression models for z subsequently developed identify conditions. At 20,000 rpm at 10 m min −1 lowest was achieved. However, very rough fuzzy with kinematic traces tool, delaminated torn fibres had occurred 12,000 18 . These results supported by investigating effect per tooth chip thickness roughness. highest coefficient determination observed between or parameter. main outcome this identification most combinations technological parameters, considering overall condition surface.
