Hydrophobic sponges have attracted significant interest in oil spills and water–oil separation as potential absorption materials due to their desirable absorptivity, selectivity, elasticity. In this paper, a hydrophilic melamine sponge (MS) is transferred into superhydrophobic via polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) modification followed by situ growth of fluorine-functionalized covalent organic framework (denoted TFA-COF) nanoparticles. Therefore, the PDMS@TFA-COF@MS was successfully prepared for efficient oil–water separation. The resultant exhibits properties with water contact angle 156.7°. has selectivity adsorption different solvents oils from well efficiency (96% after 30 cycles) capacity (12 646% cycles). Meanwhile, strong thermal stability flame retardancy addition having exceptional resistance chemical corrosion acidic, alkaline, salt solutions. Moreover, surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water emulsion could be efficiently separated sponge. demonstrates possible uses long-life applications.
