Summary This study explores using pitomba peel and seeds to obtain a natural extract with high antioxidant capacity, employing extraction techniques eutectic solvents combined agitation temperature control. The analysis revealed that, for the residues, average levels of phenolic compounds did not show significant differences except ethanol. In contrast, extractions performed showed differences, combination choline chloride lactic acid glycerol providing highest compound values. Abstract Many proteins are essential food components but also major allergens. Reducing protein allergenicity while preserving its nutritional value and technofunctional properties has always been the goal of industry. ABSTRACT This study investigates the isolation and characterization of starch from green banana peels preparation biodegradable blend films thereof. Sodium metabisulfite was found more effective than sodium bisulfite in isolating starch, resulting a higher yield. The extracted verified through FTIR, XRD, SEM, TGA analyses. Biodegradable film prepared via solvent casting with addition 40 wt.% glycerol as plasticizer. FTIR analysis revealed good interactions between chitosan peel film. X‐ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, electron microscopy confirmed that displayed miscibility, interactions, some microphase separation. Mechanical testing achieved an elongation at break 76% when were combined equal proportions (50:50 by weight). Luminous transmittance decreased 82% to 35% content increased, while water absorption dropped 89% 61%. Soil burial tests demonstrated exhibited greater biodegradability, evidenced weight loss reduced tensile strength (0.53 MPa for CS4) compared virgin Among various formulations, containing 45% 55% chitosan, 40% (CS3) optimal performance, showcasing mechanical strength, superior optical properties, absorption, controlled swelling behavior, improved biodegradability.
