Abstract The scientific establishment of the Ecological Security Pattern (ESP) is crucial for fostering synergistic development ecological and recreational functions, thereby enhancing urban protection, development, sustainable growth. This study aimed to propose a novel method constructing ESP considering both reconstruct by weighing relationship between protection development. Utilizing Fuzhou City as case study, comprehensive application methodologies including Morphological Spatial Analysis (MSPA), landscape connectivity analysis, ArcGIS spatial social network analysis (SNA), circuit theory employed develop Recreational (RSP). A trade-off matrix created facilitate reconstruction ESP, delineate functional zones, identify strategic points, followed thorough optimization strategy. revealed 36 source areas (ESAs) within City, encompassing total area 5807.90 km², predominantly situated in western northern regions. Additionally, 98 corridors (ECs) were identified, extending over 2500.55 km, alongside 100 pinch points (EPPs) 146 barrier (EBPs). city also contains 57 nodes (RNs),, which display distribution characterized “dense east, sparse west” pattern. Furthermore, 165 (RCs) extracted, covering distance 3795.21 km. Based on matrix, was categorized into eight zones: core zone, important eco-recreation key secondary elastic zone. The identified 95 475 sub-strategic. multifunctional complex constructed, “one core, five districts, six corridors, seven wedges”, tailored planning strategy proposed. research contributes theoretical framework construction supports coordinated high-quality activities environments.

Growing concerns about the negative impacts of high-density built environments on residents’ physical and mental health have made optimizing recreational walking networks in green spaces a crucial issue for improving urban public service efficiency. While previous studies largely focused static accessibility measures, these methods cannot capture actual human behaviors temporal variations space usage. Our research introduces novel social network analysis methodology using GPS trajectory data from Shanghai’s Inner Ring Area to construct compare during workdays rest days, revealing dynamic spatiotemporal patterns that traditional miss. Key findings include: (1) At node level, different sizes play differentiated roles network, with large-scale serving as destination hubs while pocket function critical connecting points; (2) regional workday show more dispersed spatial distribution higher modularity, day form clusters central area; (3) overall demonstrate density diversity, reflecting expanded activity range diverse preferences. Green management should focus value networks. These provide theoretical methodological support transitioning “static equity” “dynamic justice” system planning, contributing development inclusive resilient

With the increasing demand for outdoor recreation and fitness, this study aims to assess connectivity of green (OGR) network from perspective travel propose optimization framework. The Point Interest (POI) Area (AOI) datasets OGR spots in Zhengzhou were utilized as primary research materials. A combination GIS spatial analysis Graph index calculation is employed quantify diagnose based on multi-source data (land cover, topography, road network). system cost surface establishment was improved proposed, shifting its focus previous biological migration ecological human improving network. technical process explored presented. results show that: (1) scale, number, distribution are significantly different urban rural areas. Numerous small-scale short-distance recreational paths distributed areas, while a limited number large-scale long-distance situated areas with better natural resources. (2) Compared driving travel, poor when walking cycling. indexes Dg, BC, dPC can be used reflect connection capability, bridging role, contribution each spot overall connectivity. (3) current optimized through 30 new land suitability analysis. will improve by 4%, suitable increased 41. (4) methodologies quantifying optimizing offer valuable references future field.

Urban green infrastructure (UGI) is a network composed of natural and semi-natural areas, such as greenspaces, open water bodies, designed to enhance the provision ecosystem services meet needs expectations local communities. UGIs should be accessible improve well-being health their users, protect biodiversity, allow for enjoyment resources. The study proposes methodological approach defining UGI, conceived areas connected by urban ecological corridors suitable providing climate regulation, flood risk mitigation, outdoor recreation, biodiversity habitat quality enhancement. methodology applied functional area (FUA) City Cagliari, Italy. analysis results show that with high values carbon storage sequestration, enhancement are particularly part UGI. Although recreation appear less significant, this service relevant within Cagliari FUA. However, characterized mitigation different behavior, which highlights how presence impermeable surface associated loss patch connectivity.

This study addresses the impact of urban parks on self-rated health office workers under 40, a demographic experiencing significant increases in depressive symptoms during pandemic. Baise City, China, aims to fill this gap by exploring relationships between landscape quality, leisure time spent parks, place attachment, and among 411 aged 18 40. Structural equation modeling was used assess these relationships, multigroup analysis (MGA) SmartPLS evaluated differences subgroups. The findings reveal strong link park quality health. Although old-fashioned showed lower overall performance variables compared modern park, it had stronger relationship attachment. Leisure did not directly but mediated MGA results indicated that while positively affected for single participants, negative effect married participants. These underscore importance tailoring design management accommodate varying needs different demographics. research provides new insights into enhancing workers’ through environmental supports objectives Healthy China strategy Sustainable Development Goal 11.
