Abstract Europe faces extreme climate change; these changes are fixed as longer drought periods, not just in springs or the middle of summer but all over vegetation period. Long droughts mean water shortages rural areas, reduced river flows, and limited opportunities to use this for irrigation. Attention should be paid different rational management technologies systems with particular emphasis on rainwater harvesting. Sustainable development goals targeted sector Lithuania can reached underwater by harvesting from roof using tanks green systems. One method meets farmers’ requirements, another - sustainable goals. is a zone excess moisture, accumulating water, it possible compensate lack reserves topsoil dry season. This study aims investigate how storage structures. The investigation runs field experiment study, when dynamics runoff an experimental bituminous was recorded 2021-2022 two 1 m 2 stands were affected open climatic conditions. Meteorological data obtained Kaunas City meteorological station. confirms that reduce load retain precipitation layers. Study rain retention varied 58.8, % 46.8, October November 26, 34, winter period, there frost snow cover. From tile rate warried 6-45 %.

Citizen science is rising and expanding as an approach to data collection, enabling the acquisition of through voluntary involvement citizens in scientific activities. This study explores effectiveness citizen collecting biodiversity urban green infrastructure, focusing on a case at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Lisbon, which includes both roofs traditional garden areas. Data collected via iNaturalist platform structured unstructured activities were analyzed compare patterns observation. Results show that attract more participants but produce fewer observations per person, mainly familiar taxa, such birds. In contrast, events concede higher number observer, including less commonly recorded taxa like insects, provide greater coverage roofs, since routes are predefined. Seasonal temporal trends also noted, with concentration spring summer significant increase weekends, indicating influence participants’ availability. Spatial combining gardens provides continuous rich ecosystems crucial for city planners.
