This comprehensive review explores recent advancements in immobilization strategies for graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), a metal-free photocatalyst that has gained significant attention its optical and physicochemical properties comparable to traditional photocatalysts like TiO2. However, critical challenge regarding their application emerged from the difficulty of recovery due powdery nature. Therefore, several alternatives are being explored immobilize this material, facilitating reuse. systematically categorizes various physical chemical techniques, providing an in-depth analysis advantages, drawbacks, applications. Techniques such as encapsulation, electrospinning, casting, coating, along with adaptations g-C3N4, thoroughly examined. Additionally, impact these on enhancing photocatalytic efficiency operational stability particularly environmental applications, is also assessed. Thus, aims provide valuable insights guide future research realms photocatalysis remediation. The contributes understanding how can optimize performance furthering potential applications sustainable efficient solutions.
