In this work, using fly ash and calcium carbide slag as mixed precursors, hydrogen peroxide sodium dodecyl sulfate foaming agents, porous microsphere geopolymer was prepared by suspension curing technology to remove Cu (II) from aqueous solution. Because the Ca (OH) 2 in effectively improves pozzolana activity of ash, more C-S-H gel is produced geopolymerization process, process makes material have larger specific surface area better adsorption properties. The results show that 63.46 m2·g-1, product regeneration rate 83.20%, optimal conditions are pH = 5, capacity 118.48 mg·g-1. At same time, it found pseudo-first-order kinetic model Langmuir isotherm can be applied kinetics isothermal respectively. Adsorption mechanisms may include physisorption chemisorption. for Cu(II) than other similar products, which has great potential field heavy metal provides a new idea resourceful use industrial by-products.

Abstract Lightweight geopolymers are well‐suited for construction applications, including thermal and acoustic insulation panels fire‐resistant barriers. Their porous microstructure can be tailored by incorporating gas bubbles into the fresh ceramic mixture. Several factors—such as geopolymer composition, mixing curing conditions, setting behavior of paste—play a crucial role in bubble retention within consolidated specimens. This study investigated processing metakaolin‐based prepared with addition 5, 7.5, 10 wt.% preformed liquid foam stabilized xanthan gum. The 0.45 gum improved stability, ensuring uniform pore distribution minimizing collapse during processing. approach enabled fabrication specimens low densities (0.87–1.46 g/cm 3 ) high porosity (39.49%–64.78%), significant air permeability, well‐controlled microstructural characteristics, average sizes varying from 99 to 137 µm. Based on findings, geopolymeric binder containing 7.5 demonstrated balance strength, density, reduced water absorption, engineered porosity, making it promising candidate sealing components or materials. direct foaming method conditions effectively enhanced properties geopolymers, highlighting their potential advanced applications.

This study aims to improve the fire resistance of geopolymers by adding thermal insulation materials. These additives help material perform better at high temperatures. Previous research focused on using fly ash, metakaolin, and zeolite in geopolymer composites. looks how porous affect compressive strength whether non-destructive testing can measure damage after heat exposure. Four temperature tests were set: 400 °C for 60 min, 120 800 a maximum 658 min. The results showed that ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) dropped as increased, with sharp decrease °C. Unmodified samples broke apart temperatures, while modified lost 40% 70% their strength. confirmed dense, amorphous matrix improves resistance, even like ash. A link between UPV was found, suggesting could be useful checking structural integrity fire.

The chloride-sulfate corrosion environment of concrete is a significant engineering problem. This paper investigates the effect complete/semi-immersion mode on durability in by using different granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) dosage rates (10-50%) metakaolin (MK)-based geopolymer mortar. discussed analyzing apparent morphology, mass change, and mechanical property change specimens at age 120 d erosion combined with XRD SEM. high Ca content GBFS has an important strength resistance (MGP) group mortar; increase makes MGP mortar denser, initial positively correlated GBFS. After erosion, negatively resistance, groups showing more severe damage. Semi-immersion resulted deterioration immersion-evaporation interface zone due to difference ionic concentration 'wick effect' zone. Compared commonly used OPC mortar, M40 M50 have improved are suitable for environments highly erosive areas.

This study evaluated the effect of precursor particle size and calcium hydroxide (CH) incorporation on microstructure, compressive strength, rheological properties clay brick waste (BW)-based geopolymers. Rheological analyses were used to evaluate fresh state XRD, SEM, EDS performed analyze microstructure. The results showed that reduction in BW CH significantly contributed obtaining better strength Furthermore, decreased yield stress, plastic viscosity, hysteresis area geopolymers, while promoted opposite effect. Increasing content accelerated geopolymerization reactions reduced workability geopolymers over time. However, since milling process is costly, for 2 h was more efficient from a technical–economic point view. In addition, not only early hardening when necessary, but also improvement through matrix densification. Therefore, this show definition material proportions using as an aluminosilicate source.
