The objective of this research is to fabricate waste-based alkali-activated foams with better properties in a quick time by using energy-efficient techniques such as microwave irradiation. present study reports the effect heating parameters, including and output power, on porous materials (AAMs) that use coal gangue (CG) precursor. effects concrete waste (CW) content (0-20 wt %) performance microstructure CG-based AAMs were investigated. Mechanical, thermal, microstructural investigations conducted characterize obtained materials. experimental results indicate best characteristics achieved when power 800 W 10 min, respectively. prepared adding powder increased stability showed lower bulk density thermal conductivity. Foaming or porous geopolymers can be utilized in various engineering applications, including heat and acoustic insulations, as well passive fire protection building materials. They are ecofriendly materials, no significant production power is required. In this study, possessing foaming features involving lightweight materials were successfully created through the reaction of sodium hydroxide solution 6 M with powder waste glass MG without/with rice husk (RH) 20 wt.% treated (212, 420, 600 μ m) agent. The effect ash (RHA) sizes RH additives on thermal treatment (volume weight changes, percentage), compressive strength, microstructure (pore content) was assessed. results show swelling (foaming behavior) for MG‐N6, MGB‐N6, MGR212‐N6, MGR600‐N6 at 550°C, unlike MGR420‐N6 formula. Also, a high‐volume change (percentage) paste 650°C noticed. Additionally, behavior (high volume expansion) appeared all thoughtful pastes after 750°C. loss specimens range 10%–27% high percentage changes MGR400‐N6 Low values strength (2.74–14.5 MPa) recorded formulas studied. These synthesized containing powder, resulting from highly recommended, mostly insulation demanding lightweight, porosity, low mechanical properties.
