Abstract With the rapid urbanization and development of metropolises, urban road tunnels have been constructed at an increasing rate, significantly alleviating traffic pressure, improving resilience. Fire hazards become a major threat to modern due growing popularity electric vehicles high-density transportation goods, particularly flammable materials. Asphalt pavements, as essential component tunnels, may release harmful effluences smoke under high temperatures, exacerbating fire adding risk life safety. It is hence critical investigate fire-retarding asphalt materials their potential use in pavements.
