Scientific contributions to BIM-sustainability integration have gained momentum in recent years due the influential role of BIM as a well-accepted approach for sustainable construction practices. In this regard, some systematic reviews and informatic analysis papers addressed topic. Although these provided useful insights, we go deeper into body knowledge through critical lens. addition, paper, keyword combination is broadened opposed other reviews, insight applied synergies between sustainability gap-spotting. For purpose, 98 journal articles are selected grouped four major categories, namely: (i) BIM-based Life-Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA); (ii) green buildings; (iii) BIM-aided waste management; (iv) state-of-the-art topics. The work's novelty lies giving holistic understanding previously dismissed issues area review. Finally, research gaps future opportunities discussed tabulated.

The construction industry is a resource- and energy-intensive sector, and, thus, it has been criticised due to rising environmental concerns. As result, gained heightened interest in the concept of circular economy (CE) over last decade its ability promote slowing, reducing, closing production consumption cycles materials products used projects. Current research studies suggest that digital technologies may enhance industry’s integrate CE into practices. However, clear understanding technology (DT)-related barriers hinder practical implementation appears be lacking within sector. Thus, this study aims identify adopting DTs implement practices industry. A systematic literature review was conducted by reviewing twenty-eight (28) relevant papers published until March 2024 Scopus Web Science databases. VOS viewer software (version 1.6.11) perform co-occurrence analysis keywords new popular areas field. content analyse significant adapting industry; frequency Pareto analyses were determine most critical obstacles. This identified thirty-seven (37) using CE, categorised nine areas: organisational, infrastructure, regulatory, standardisation, investment, nature industry, technological, stakeholder, data-related barriers. Of these barriers, nineteen as based on analysis. These findings will benefit practitioners policymakers who want adopt

Although emerging economies are increasingly adopting digital solutions, integrating these technologies with circular construction practices remains relatively unexplored, which could impede the sector's transformation. This study addresses this gap by investigating complex risk landscape, identifying 23 critical concerns through a quantitative approach. Utilizing data collected from 248 professionals in Vietnam, scrutinized and assessed risks using reliability testing, Kruskal-Wallis test, exploratory factor analysis, relative importance index, mapping techniques. The results revealed differences how clients, contractors, consultants perceived transformation for construction. In addition, findings indicated most significant risks, including negative returns on investments, income loss, competition, legal uncertainties, cyberattacks, high digitization costs. Furthermore, comparative analysis showed that countries similar socioeconomic cultural backgrounds may exhibit markedly different profiles. Theoretically, work bridges circularity digitalization, offering theoretical insights into dynamics economies. Moreover, practical implications substantial, providing valuable strategies decision-makers stakeholders Vietnam beyond, paving way more resilient sustainable future industry.
