Biosurfactants are surface-active molecules produced by yeasts, fungi, and bacteria under different fermentation conditions growing substrates. These considered safe for human health have emulsifying properties that improve the palatability, nutritional content, quality of food products. Despite progress in genetic and molecular research, which has opened up a myriad of targeted therapeutic possibilities, the compromised solubility absorption profile entities restrict their passage across lipid barriers compromising efficacy. Consequently, nanoemulsions accrued significance as futuristic, safe, effective lipid-based drug delivery systems due to inherent array physicochemical properties provide exquisite bioavailability, reduced toxicity, improved hydrophobic based on size surface area. However, pronounced gap exists understanding addressing challenges that arise during design development nanoemulsions. In this context, we have attempted reconsider overlooked aspects nanoemulsion design, offering insight into its commercial viability.
