Proanthocyanidins (PACs) are natural polyphenolic compounds widely distributed in various plants, which mixtures of oligomers and polymers formed by the polymerization different numbers catechins epicatechins. PACs exhibit a range biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-atherosclerotic, hypoglycemic, antihypertensive effects, as well ability to regulate intestinal flora promote fat metabolism. These properties render highly promising for applications food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic industries, garnering substantial interest from researchers globally. Additionally, demonstrate significant nutritional benefits animal husbandry. Dietary can enhance growth, mitigate oxidative stress, decrease feeding expenses, offer an environmentally friendly, antibiotic-free alternative.
