A review of different modeling techniques, specifically in the framework carbon-based nanomaterials (CNMs, including nanoparticles such as graphene and carbon nanotubes-CNTs) composites devices that can be derived from them, is presented. The article emphasizes overall performance these materials depends on mechanisms operate across time spatial scales, requiring tailored approaches based material type, size, internal structure/configuration, specific properties interest. Far attempting to cover entire spectrum models, this examines a wide range analysis simulation highlighting their potential use, some weaknesses strengths, presenting latest developments application examples. In way, it shown how provide key information for tailoring or designing new components systems obtain certain functionalities. At same time, revealed an area constantly undergoing development improvement, evidenced by progress made various techniques have emerged recent years.
