The built environment is a crucial factor influencing subway commuting. However, the extent to which affects metro travel during COVID-19 pandemic remains under explored. In particular, people's patterns and destinations might have changed pandemic, influenced by environment. degree these influences differ from those in normal circumstances has scarcely been studied. This study investigates non-linear effects of on commuters within an 800-m radius stations. Analysis mobile signal data Guangzhou Metro Line 1 showed that importance was 81.69% 70.06% before after outbreak, respectively. Based threshold passenger flows this determined immediate needs for outbreak. information can guide planning strategies around stations facing public health emergencies. highlights impact Thus, number parking lots, proportion medical facilities distance central business district are urgent demands passengers

During the Covid-19 pandemic, provisional infrastructure was implemented to support active transportation. However, planning community still requires deeper understandings of relationships between and mobility. We use example a roadway closure in Philadelphia investigate how one mode—bikeshare use—changed response infrastructure. employ differences-in-differences models that measure semi-causal effect on bikeshare trip durations find even during when increased across system, had an additive statistically discernible impact above beyond pandemic effect.
