This study extensively characterizes the out‐of‐plane stiffness and energy harvesting capabilities of a newly proposed anti‐trichiral hierarchical auxetic honeycomb structure, both mechanically deformationally. By introducing design concept based on (ATCH), structure with superior load‐carrying capacity excellent auxeticity is achieved. To validate finite element model, compression simulations are conducted. Comparative investigations into morphing characteristics performance between novel ATCH performed. Additionally, influence various parameters comprehensive explored. It has been found that angle φ most sensitive to properties, while ratio k significantly impacts absorption. research advances structures for potential applications in protective engineering.

In this paper, a novel hybrid triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) core with nonlinear transition region was designed by combining two types of TPMS (Diamond and Schwarz P) structures using the sigmoid function. The width precisely regulated adjusting gradient control parameter r in Composite sandwich (CSS) were fabricated bonding carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) face sheets to 3D printed polylactic acid (PLA) core. bending performance failure mechanisms CSSs cores analyzed through three-point tests finite element analysis (FEA). results indicate that as increases, becomes narrower, leading gradual decrease strength, stiffness, shear stress. process experiment aligns well FEA results. Through comparative stiffness-to-weight strength-to-weight ratios native cores, wider enhance structural efficiency CSSs, while those narrower negatively impact CSSs.
