This study explores the utilization of municipal solid waste incineration fly ash (MSWIFA) in geopolymer concrete, focusing on compressive strength and heavy metal leachability. MSWIFA was sourced from a Shenzhen plant pretreated by washing to remove soluble salts. Geopolymer concrete prepared incorporate with washed or unwashed tested under different pH conditions (2.88, 4.20, 10.0). Optimal achieved Si/Al ratio 1.5, water/Na 10, sand-binder 0.6. The pretreatment significantly enhanced strength, particularly alkaline conditions, GP-WFA (washed MSWIFA) exhibiting 49.6% increase compared 21.3% GP-FA (unwashed MSWIFA). Additionally, GP-WFA’s reached 41.7 MPa, comparable that control (GP-control) at 43.7 MPa. Leaching tests showed acidic (pH 2.88) promoted leaching, which increased over leaching time, while an environment reduced leachability metals. These findings highlight potential using promoting sustainable construction practices, conditions.

Hydraulic structures may be subjected to erosion and damage by high-speed sand carrying water flow in the overflow area, seriously weakening normal operation of building. For the purpose of enhancing utilization rate limestone powder (LP) in concrete and maximizing its activity effect. The cement industry has achieved the harmless and resourceful disposal of incineration fly ash, but environmental safety heavy metals during its service life is still unknown. Therefore, evolution metal leaching wet–dry cycle ash after different solidification treatments been studied. We provide a theoretical basis for long-term safe use resource utilization. results showed that when underwent 90 dry–wet cycles, Cd exceeded 19.40% Chinese standard GB 18598-2019. Upon addition 10% 30% to trend increasing slowed, with higher content enhancing capability metals. When mixed 180 40.75% 18598-2019, while samples did not exceed limit, at 84.45% As an admixture, compressive strength increased number cycles. dosage was 20%, maximum cycles only 5.19% toxicity index also decreasing compared ash. admixture ensured life.
