The global construction industry is increasingly utilizing concrete prepared from recycled aggregate as a substitute for natural aggregate. However, the subpar performance of fine (RFA) has resulted in its underutilization, particularly structural exposed to challenging environments, including those involving chlorine salts and freeze–thaw climates. This study aimed enhance RFA river sand well fulfill present demand aggregates sector by accelerated carbonation treatment create fully (FRAC) composed 100% coarse aggregates. impacts incorporating carbonated (C-RFA) at various replacement rates (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) on mechanical durability properties FRAC were investigated. results showed that physical C-RFA, apparent density, water absorption, crushing value, enhanced compared RFA. compressive strength C-RFC100 was 19.8% higher than C-RFC0, while absorption decreased 14.6%. In comparison C-RFC0 C-RFC100, chloride permeability coefficients 50% decrease, frost resistance increased 27.6%. According findings, properties, interfacial transition zones (ITZs), micro-cracks C-RFC considerably with an C-RFA content.

In this study, the usability of construction and demolition waste (CDW) aggregates as filling when stabilized with alkaline activator solution (AAS) blast furnace slag (BFS) was investigated. The initial stage study involved determining engineering properties CDW by laboratory experiments. next stage, modified Proctor tests were performed to investigate compaction behavior CDW, which 5% 30% BFS added water or AAS. following California bearing ratio experiments determine mixture specimen highest strength. final a weak soil layer created in test tank, fillings different thicknesses built on it using without additives determined optimum mixing ratio. Then, plate-loading conducted model foundation evaluate load-deformation fillings. study's results indicated that adding AAS increased Furthermore, addition 20% yielded strength value, ultimate capacity up 4.72 times compared those additive.
