In order to promote the virtuous cycle of economic society, minimize harm red mud and manganese slag maximize efficiency processing utilization slag; in analyze influence on performance matrix asphalt, this paper conducts multiple groups compound proportion tests after fully mixing slag, finally determines optimal 1:1.5. The modified asphalt binder was prepared by adding powder-oil ratio 0, 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%, 18%, 21% 24% external method. Through determination three indexes binder, modification effect different dosage is analyzed. From a large number experimental data, it concluded that when are best. paper, grey correlation theory used between modifier penetration, ductility softening point asphalt. Electrolytic Manganese Residue (EMR) is a secondary material generated during the process of manganese production, poses significant environmental challenges, including land consumption and contamination threats to soil water bodies due its heavy metal content, soluble manganese, ammonia nitrogen, disposal issues. This review thoroughly examines EMR, emphasizing metallurgical principles, impacts, sustainable treatment methods. We critically analyze various approaches for EMR management, resource recovery, utilization construction materials, advanced techniques mitigate challenges. Through an extensive recent EMR-related literature case studies, we highlight innovative strategies valorization, such as extraction valuable metals, conversion into supplementary cementitious application in remediation. Our findings suggest that integrating principles with engineering practices can unlock EMR’s potential resource, contributing circular economy reducing hazards associated disposal. study aims deepen understanding comprehensive utilization, offering insights future research directions practical applications achieving management electrolytic waste. Finally, propose some recommendations address issue intending offer guidance proper effective exploitation EMR.
