The application of microwave de-icing technology in road engineering is constrained by its low energy utilization rate, which can be attributed to heat production rates and ineffective dissipation the underlying pavement. In this work, asphalt mixtures are designed as an upper layer (heating layer) a lower (thermal-resistance layer). Magnetite slag was selected microwave-sensitive source for generating heat, expanded perlite powder incorporated into thermal resistance material. Structural optimization thermal-resistance design mixture were carried out changing thickness layers further improve rates. effectiveness comprehensively evaluated factors such law average surface temperature mixtures, ice-melting time, cost-effectiveness analyses. results show that EP possesses better stability, conversion ability more excellent heat-resistance potential compared with mineral powder. prevent from being conducted promote it concentrate on specimen surface, endow heating efficiency specimens improved up 26.97% time reduced 10%, ascribed design. Waterborne epoxy resin (WER) has excellent chemical stability, heat resistance, and mechanical properties, its application in emulsified asphalt modification is receiving widespread attention road maintenance. In this paper, the properties of waterborne modified (WEA) binder through different preparation processes were investigated, influence WER on microstructure, rheological low-temperature stability was analyzed. The results show that WEA binders prepared using a two-step method can make curing reaction modifier more complete excellent. Emulsified asphalt is widely used for pavement maintenance due to its ease of application. However, use limited by poor high-temperature stability and low bonding strength. This study attempted prepare a self-crosslinking waterborne acrylate (SWA)-type admixture using diacetone acrylamide (DAAM)-adipic dihydrazide (ADH) crosslinking system applied it emulsified ultimately obtain acrylate-modified (AMEA). The research explored the effects SWA on fundamental properties, rheological characteristics, microscopic morphology, performance AMEA. Results indicated that undergoes reactions during demulsification process, forming continuous stable network structure significantly enhances strength while improving softening point stability. Rheological analysis revealed within 10–15 phr dosage range, influence frequency was minimized, with notable improvements in elastic recovery deformation resistance. Particularly when exceeds 10 phr, material demonstrates adaptability high-traffic environments. Pull-off tests demonstrated can increase interlayer over 50%. exhibits some negative impact low-temperature ductility asphalt, necessitating cautious control novel excellent superior stability, emerges as crucial choice preventive maintenance.
