Incorporating iron tailings (ITs) into asphalt represents a new method for waste-to-resource conversion. The objective of this study is to evaluate the fatigue performance ITs as fillers in mastic and investigate interaction interfacial adhesion energy between ITs. To achieve that, particle size distributions two limestone filler (LF) were tested through laser analyzer; morphology structure characteristics obtained by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), mineral compositions conducted X-ray diffraction (XRD), chemical Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF). Furthermore, properties binder (ITs LFs) evaluated Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR). calculated molecular dynamics simulation. In end, correlation test results life established based on gray analysis, environmental economic benefits pavement are further evaluated. show that distribution concentrated 30 μm 150 μm, main component quartz. have rich angularity higher ability with asphalt. less than limestone. degree close 0.58. Under combined action energy, IT meets requirements. partial replacement great social effectiveness.
