Dredged sludge usually has high water content and poor engineering properties, which would be unfavorable for its rapid resource utilization. Meanwhile, straw fiber is an environmentally friendly material improving the mechanical behavior of soil. In this research, a series shrinkage tests were conducted to investigate effects on dredged with content. Four initial contents amounts designed. The crack development recorded throughout test. According test results, reduction in regarding drying time can divided into three stages: constant-rate stage, falling-rate residual stage. At evaporation affected significantly by fiber. Compared sample without fiber, influence depends upon shows overall inhibitory effect initiation cracks tested samples. Moreover,

High-water content dredged sludge from waterways, with potential for sustainable use as high-performance fillers, was effectively treated using the vacuum preloading-flocculation-solidification combined method (denoted VP-FSCM). This study investigated effect of flocculant and curing agent dosages on solidification initially poor mechanical properties. Ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) ordinary Portland cement (OPC) were selected composite agents, while anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) slaked lime used a mixed flocculant. Laboratory experiments conducted to examine effects different agents flocculants deposition dehydration, strength characteristics, water after curing, well spatial distribution them under method. Additionally, conventional solidified by GGBS OPC GCSM) also compared. The results indicate that increasing dosage 4.5% 10.5% enhances shear samples VP-FSCM up 3–5 times compared those GCSM. optimal ratio is GGBS/OPC = 1, optimum composed APAM at 0.125% 1.5%. When admixture optimal, it allows better utilization advantages coupling such flocculation preloading, chemical thereby significantly improving properties sludge.
