The chemical reactions that occur during the preparation of alkali-activated materials (AAMs) were categorised into two interdependent processes (ion dissolution and ion polymerisation) in this study. factors influencing rate polymerisation analysed separately. A kinetics equation was used to quantify relationship between such as fineness solid raw materials, pH temperature. The construction industry's top priorities for achieving a sustainable future include minimizing the use of non-renewable resources, managing waste generation, and reducing related gas emissions. This fact emphasizes need using natural materials such as pozzolan substitute or supplemental component in production Portland cement concrete. study presents review evaluating sustainability performance life cycle assessment pozzolan-based concrete compared with ordinary preference selection index approach CO2 emissions during material stages. Furthermore, durability environmental effects were comprehensively investigated. advantages Pozzolans-based development aspects have been precisely predicted through application PSI method, which depends on several criteria based properties different types. It was discovered that substituting pozzolanic portion when producing significantly reduces (i.e., energy carbon dioxide emissions).
