To develop an effective and eco-friendly method for extracting bamboo sap can effectively improve the utilization of resources promote sustainable development industry. In this work, fresh strips were directly placed into a hot press pressing (HP), yielding both pure flattened, dense strips. The physicochemical properties systematically investigated. results indicated that HP offers significant advantages in terms extraction efficiency mechanical bamboo. extracted through exhibited guaiacol concentration comparable to obtained via traditional baking method, while levels total flavonoids, amino acids, phenols notably higher. density distribution hot-pressed was uniform with bending strength 263 MPa modulus elasticity 14.04 GPa, reflecting enhancements 45.30% 65.17%, respectively. Furthermore, demonstrates excellent dimensional stability, thereby expanding its potential applications construction furniture. achieves simultaneous physical modification strips, significantly improving resource efficiency, minimizing waste, simplifying steps involved methods, ultimately showcasing considerable environmental benefits.

Green, newly felled bamboo stems are prone to cracking during the drying process due growth stress and moisture gradient. To improve quality dimensional stability of stems, this study applied hygrothermal treatment under atmospheric pressure stems. The temperature, relative humidity, duration were optimized using an orthogonal L9 (34) experimental design. results show that surface color round became more uniform after treatment. Furthermore, could reduce cuticular wax silicon layer detachment on drying. According range variance analysis, humidity had greatest impact stability, followed by duration, whereas temperature a limited effect. swelling rate at 95%, 95 °C, 3 h was decreased 53.72% 62.76% compared with untreated or water absorption for 7 d, respectively.
