A simple model is built to evaluate quantitatively the individual feeling of passage time using a sociophysics approach. Given an objective unit like year, I introduce individualized mirror-subjective counterpart, which inversely proportional number units already experienced by person. We studied the role of time in experience boredom and its relationship with various psychological states using virtual reality. Sixty-six participants visited nine waiting rooms evaluated their perception experiences, including boredom, exhaustion, restlessness, amotivation, frustration, anger, unhappiness, spontaneous deliberate mind-wandering, fantasy, absorption. Results confirmed between perception, showing that higher levels slower seems to pass. However, manipulating time-related information via a slower/faster ticking clock did not affect boredom. also found increased as progressed through rooms, affective characterisation over remained stable, while cognitive fluctuated. While was consistently associated absorption, mind-wandering evolved time. These findings provide novel insights into intricate differentiated consequences being bored.
