In this study, the microstructure and electrochemical passive characteristics of NiCr25.2−xMoAlx (x = 0, 1.25, 2.5, 5 mol.%) alloys were investigated. The results show that Ni-Cr-Mo-Al with varying Cr:Al ratios both had a single FCC structure without any second precipitates, decreases in dislocation density grain size observed as Al content NiCrMoAl increased. It was found from NiCr23.95MoAl1.25 maximum radius for semicircle lowest Icorr, indicating an enhanced anti-corrosion performance (Rct: 8.08 ± 0.368 × 105 Ω cm2, Icorr: 1.05 0.003 10−7 A/cm2). it approximate connection to composition films. Denser more stable microstructures further proven by potentiostatic polarization tests Mott–Schottky experiments, showing lower current acceptor (NA: 9.79 0.4 10−20 cm−3). addition, XPS Al1.25 specimen highest Cr2O3 film’s among alloys. main component, suggesting protective influence film. present study can offer guidance application nickel-based high resistance marine environments.

In this study, the surface analysis, cross-section analysis and electrochemical were used to explore formation mechanism of Nb contents on passive film high-strength anti-seismic rebar in simulated concrete pore solution. The passivation experiments confirmed that addition promoted stability compactness Nb-containing rebar, efficiency was stronger than CS rebar. Firstly, with decreases pH, increases outer layer mainly composed Fe oxides oxyhydroxides, inner oxides. Secondly, beneficial oxides, which enhanced rate inhibited degradation thus enhancing thickness
