Background Obesity and job stress are established contributors to oxidative stress, which is associated with various adverse health outcomes. However, the moderating role of in relationship between obesity remains inadequately understood. Objectives This study explored whether specifically extrinsic intrinsic components Effort Reward Imbalance (ERI) model, moderates among female nurses. Methods We conducted an exploratory analysis from a cross-sectional involving nurses at tertiary hospital Western India. The assessed prevalence overweight based on suggested criteria for Asian Indian population. examined correlations markers if there moderator stress. Results combined population was 74%. Significant positive were found age, obesity-related parameters (Body-mass Index, Percentage Body Fat, Waist-Hip Ratio), (Protein carbonyl content Glutathione S-Transferase). moderated by overcommitment. Nurses marked overcommitment exhibited stronger associations obesity, compared those without Conclusions Our findings suggest that highlighting need address as well work-related factors interventions targeting Future studies should confirm these explore mechanisms develop targeted interventions.

Objective To assess the correlation between effort–reward imbalance (ERI) and sleep quality among railway locomotive stewards. Design Cross-sectional study. Setting Lanzhou Bureau Group, China Railway, July August 2022. Participants Railway Primary secondary outcome measures Sleep was assessed using Pittsburgh Quality Index Scale (PSQI), categorising scores of >14 as poor, 8–14 fair <8 good. Results A total 5738 valid questionnaires (mean age 30.85±6.91 years 5730 males) were included. The response rate 92.27%. PSQI score 11.52±3.95; 2304 (40.15%) respondents had good quality, 1590 (27.71%) 1844 (32.14%) poor quality. Stepwise multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that, compared with Jiayuguan Locomotive Depot workers (OR 0.775, 95% CI 0.587 to 0.971, p=0.028), electric drivers 0.499, 0.316 0.786, p=0.003), passenger train 0.209, 1.313 3.337, p=0.002), working <40 hours weekly 2.291, 1.686 3.112, p<0.001), 40–50 1.602, 1.299 1.977, senior titles 0.727, 0.570 0.928, p=0.010), high effort/low reward 2.812, 2.218 3.564, p<0.001) low overcommitment 5.848, 4.710 7.261, independently associated Electric 0.535, 0.364 0.787, p=0.001), diesel 0.567, 0.348 0.924, p=0.023), 1.471, 1.005 2.155, p=0.047), 1.549, 1.196 2.006, 1.340, 1.141 1.574, school diploma or less 1.448, 1.062 1.975, p=0.019), 1.237, 1.006 1.521, p=0.044), balanced 0.653, 0.478 0.892, p=0.007) 2.553, 2.224 2.931, Conclusion results revealed an acceptable ERI correlated Health education, lifestyle changes improved work schedules may help boost well-being
