Abstract The Garo tribe, one of a major indigenous communities Meghalaya, India, relies heavily on their traditional health practices. This research investigates the healthcare-seeking behaviour women, concerns, medical knowledge, and reasons for preferring over modern medicines. Conducted in East Hills, quantitative data (N = 96) were randomly collected from women aged 15–49 through interviews to understand health-seeking behaviour. Following preliminary analysis, qualitative 12) gathered in-depth identify common illnesses, dimensions medicines, dependency them. Abstract Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune and idiopathic disorder that inflames joint synovial tissue, cartilage, bone lowers the quality of life. Many studies link RA to leukocyte-mediated inflammation oxidative damage along with liberation many inflammatory cells, degradative enzymes, cytokines chemokines. Linalool primary ingredient some essential oils derived from aromatic plants containing antioxidant properties. The aim this study was evaluate antirheumatic effect through invitro, insilico Complete Freund's adjuvant induced arthritic rat model. Antioxidant activity measured by 2, 2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl, Nitric oxide, Superoxide, Hydroxyl radical scavenging assay, anti-inflammatory Human Red Blood Cell stabilization Protein denaturation inhibition assay. Rats were stimulated adjuvant, type II collagen, Lipopolysaccharide develop arthritis evaluated for biochemical markers. exhibits concentration dependent in both assays at concentrations ranging 25 250 µg/mL. Subsequently, 100 mg/kg 400 managed all parameters (body weight, paw volume, splenic index, index) effectively, including Tumor Necrosis Factor- α, Interleukin-6, Lymphocytes Neutrophils. analysis shows a favourable protein-ligand interaction identified proteins. effective reducing inflammation, prevents cartilage damage, modulates immunological responses, suggesting it might be helpful RA. Further research clinical trials are needed validate these results explore Linalool's potential as viable treatment option patients suffering debilitating disease.

Trifolirhizin is an important flavonoid glycoside reported from the roots of medicinal plants such as Astragalus membranaceus, Sophora tonkinensis, Ononis vaginalis, Euchresta formosana, Subprostrate, spinose, and flavescens. It considered one constituents responsible for various properties these plants. Studies have revealed multiple pharmacological trifolirhizin: anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-ulcerative colitis, antiasthma, hepatoprotective, osteogenic, skin-whitening, wound-healing, anticancer (against types cancers). Mechanistic studies trifolirhizin showed that it could act on target genes pathways NF-κB-MAPK, EGFR-MAPK, AMPK/mTOR, PI3K/Akt signaling pathways. These are also implicated in other diseases, suggesting potential therapeutic applications. Initial pharmacokinetic support candidature provide initial track may be pursued its development. Still, a compilation activities missing literature. This review uniquely compiles mechanistic insights trifolirhizin, addressing critical gaps development proposing strategies future research.

Phytochemicals are typically natural bioactive compounds or metabolites produced by plants. Phytochemical-loaded nanocarrier systems, designed to overcome bioavailability limitations and enhance therapeutic effects, have garnered significant attention in recent years. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has intensified interest the application of phytochemicals combat viral infections. This review explores nanoparticle-based treatment strategies incorporating for antiviral application, highlighting their demonstrated mechanisms. It specifically examines activities phytochemical-loaded nanosystems against (i) influenza virus (IAV), respiratory syncytial (RSV), severe acute syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2); (ii) mosquito-borne viruses [dengue (DENV), Zika (ZIKV), Chikungunya (CHIKV)]; (iii) sexually transmitted/blood borne [e.g. herpes simplex (HSV), human papillomavirus (HPV), immunodeficiency (HIV)]. Furthermore, this highlights emerging role these photodynamic therapy (PDT)-mediated attenuation proliferation, offers a perspective on future directions research promising area multimodal approach.

Objectives: Resveratrol (RES) is well documented for its multiple health benefits, with a notable impact on cancer prevention and therapy. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of RES supplementation oxidative stress in patients head neck (HNC) receiving home enteral nutrition (HEN). Methods: randomized, single-center, open-label involved 72 adult patients, 40 completing intervention. Participants intervention group received 400 mg liposomal daily 12 weeks alongside HEN, while control HEN only. Body composition markers—including total antioxidant capacity (TAC), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), reduced (GSH)—were measured at baseline after weeks. Results: Significant increases TAC SOD activity were observed both groups. GPx increased significantly only group. MDA levels rose groups but more pronounced GSH showed no significant changes. Phase angle (PhA) group, change was Conclusions: may enhance defenses, as evidenced by improvements levels, supporting balance HNC HEN. The higher reflect RES’s dual pro-oxidant activities. Additionally, increase PhA suggests potential cellular benefits. These findings highlight complementary clinical oncology, warranting further investigation clarify therapeutic effects care.
